Über mich
Little did I know that convincing my parents of letting me participate in a student exchange with the US state Montana would change my life forever. I fell in love with the wild North, with the untouched forests, rugged mountains and the abundance of wild animals.
As a consequence I took my first steps in the field of nature photography with my dad’s manual Minolta SLR camera and 35mm slide film. Over the years my hobby turned into a passion and has taken me to many great places. In 2012 I lived and worked in Antarctica for a whole year as a scientist. In 2017 I returned to film a documentary on emperor penguins for the BBC NHU and forever fell in love with these marvelous creatures.
This planet is the ultimate gift for all human beings. We need to start treating it like that!
